Eeek! That's even worse!
You'll have to reply with 'steaming hot best', just to go one better.
I just hoped it wasn't a typo for "warm vest", someone wanting to wish me some really warm, snuggly thoughts for the rest of the day.
I often get
"now fuck off and stop bothering me"
A little harsh surely. I always use 'kind regards', or 'regards' if I am not feeling that kind.
Now fuck off and stop bothering me.

I am glad it is not just me. I try to sign off with "kind regards", "best regards" or "all the best" (if I want to be friendly).
I thought for some time the use of "best" was simply people being lazy, but then I realised people actually think it is a suitable sign off. If it is, what about "clarinet" or "mouse"? They are words too, afterall.
I wonder if the solution is to institute new methods of signing off before "best" gets out of control. Perhaps we could use "kegards" instead of "kind regards" or "begards" rather than "best regards".
Sometimes "atb" is used, even by me, but I think its use is rather twatish.
Mouse.

We are breeding new generations of yoof who can only write in text speak, so it will only get worse!
And now I really do sound like one of those bints on Grumpy Old Women.
Kipper,

Clarinet is good!!
I am glad you agree.
Clarinet.
